autumn abby

Abby keeps on growing, she was up to 29" and 21lbs at the start of the month.

She started her walking career shortly before Thanksgiving. She showed off her skillz while visiting with some of the Gunter clan.


The next week, that was it, crawling was old news and walking was here to stay!


We went up to Bala for the Cranberry festival and enjoyed the beautiful day. Got out for a nice walk around the marsh in the sun and got a few bottles of wine to enjoy later this year! It was pretty busy and we ended up parking down the road about a mile out of town. Abby enjoyed the walk while trying to take bits out of an apple. She especially liked the petting zoo and found the little critters pretty hilarious! .. will post some video eventually!

but she is still very cute .. especially when she is too tired to even finish her dinner =) if only she would fall asleep that easy for us every night!

sarah has been slowly starting abby on eating some rice cereal. she seems to eat most of if and the rest just ends up on the bib. she doesn't seem to mind it too much.

abby is 6 months (and 2 days) old!

hard to believe 6 months have floated by.. but she has already grown up quite a bit. she was 16 lbs at our follow-up clinic apt at the hospital. so 6-9 month outfits is what she gets dressed in these days. two teeth are out and ready for chomping on fingers or anything else that happens to wander too close ;) and today, we noticed her top two teeth are starting to make their appearance!

sarah had her sitting on her own too .. she still need some help with not teetering over to one side. she has also been rolling over on her own.


she hasn't been talking or laughing as much recently. but we are suspecting its her teeth that are bothering her. its that or its because she doesn't have very intelligable parents ;)


she likes to get 'scarred' .. we say 'boo' to her and a moment or two later she give a little reaction.


she has been helping sarah type though .. so if you get any strange messages .. its abby!

abby has a pretty cute little smile and recently she decided to add a cute little laugh to her repretoire. after a few unsuccessful attempts of capturing it on video (usually entailed by her laughing and then sarah or me sprinting to get the camera only to get back and find out she was done with laughing) she found a session of peek-a-boo to be pretty funny!

our little red haired trouble maker is now 15lbs 3ozs and 27 and 3/4" long .. she has also sprouted her first tooth!
abby has been keepin sarah up through out the night .. but hopefully the teething will pass and everyone will be able to get a bit more sleep. she misses her christmas tree with all the bright lights and various distracting ornaments .. but has her rainforest "tv" back in her crib to give her some distraction. the second round of shots came and went without much ado.
