visiting

we were over to visit with uncle ian, aunt sandy and cousin nicholas on saturday morning. great aunt june and cousins gabrielle and dana were over too. nicholas kept some of us busy while keeping him occupied and out of too much trouble!

almost 3 months old

abby went to her checkup and weighd in at 10 lbs 15 oz and was 23 3/4 inches long. getting to be a big girl! she had no problems with her immunization and chilled out on the couch while mommy watched aladin and daddy watched the beginning of the movie before napping through the rest of it.

today, abby got dressed up for her first brunch at cora's


where we all got to meet cassandra for the first time. who was also looking very cute!

cassie had her support staff .. mike & lisa with her too.

andrew and nate also met up with us

and so did kara and trevor


after which, the new parents took the non-parents for an adrenaline rush filled stroll over at the mall. it was good to get out and get a chance to hang out with friends on a nice november day.

snoozin

Abby has been settling in nicely at home and definitely is excited about being wire and tube free!


she is doing her best at keeping pleasent valley dairies busy! after getting some yummy breastmilk to eat .. snoozing is abby's favourite thing to do. she likes her mom and dad, crib, playyard and bassinet as sleepy time venues.


she is usually down for the count for a couple of hours before she wants another milk top up. all that milk is starting to fill her out a bit more each day .. as her chubby cheeks will attest to.


she has been a nice and quiet baby so far and only fusses when something needs to come out or when she wants some more milk to go in. she does make some funny little noises while eating and sleeping tho ...

abby is home

after about 3 weeks Abigail has been discharged the hospital on Saturday!


she went from a birth weight of 4lbs 4oz to about 5lbs 5 oz over the three weeks and continues to devour her milk. thanks to cousin Nicholas, she will be sleeping in a bedside bassinet. her room is about done and just needs a few more supplies stocked up. and thanks to cousin Tehya, Abby will have a big wardrobe to dress from once she puts on a few more pounds.

Two weeks old!

Abby continues to put on weight and look very cute =)

Out of isolation!

Abby is now out of isolation after they confirmed she wasn't carrying the black death and other assorted nasties .. so the gloves, masks and gowns are off!

She is out of her isolette and back into a cot too. Her and Sarah have been doing very well with breastfeedings and she is down to about 1/2 her tube feedings. Now all that is left is to get rid of the nasty feeding tube and wires.

Grandpa and Grandma Gunter were down on Saturday to help put in a new window for Abby to help finish up her room. Aunt Mary and cousin Tehya are over today for a visit to keep Sarah out of trouble ;)

1 week old!

Here is Abby sleeping off some lunch today. She is in isolation after being transferred back to Oshawa.


She has some discharge in her eye due to a blocked duct .. which should hopefully clear up soon. She was sleeping much better today after being a bit stressed out over the move yesterday.

Grandpa and Grandma McGrath along with aunt Mary & cousin Tehya were over for a quick visit as well this afternoon.
